Cruisin': Nassau, Bahamas

I realized I'd delayed my final cruise post for quite a while now, so here it is!
Days 6&7:

Day 6 was another sea day with no stops. We filled our time by trying sushi (which for the record I DON'T like) and bowling. Then we danced the night away at the White Out party! Everyone wore white and they had music blasting and lights dancing and even a random guy on stilts.

And now for Day 7, our final stop. Nassau, Bahamas!
Me and my sisters right off the port in Nassau. That's the famous Atlantis Resort behind us!
And here we are at Atlantis! We were only allowed in certain areas since we were visitors and not staying at the resort but it was still pretty cool to walk around and explore a bit. Unfortunately the famous water park with that awesome slide that goes through a shark tank (ever heard of it?...) had an entry fee of $150 per person so needless to say that's still on my bucket list for now.
We took a guided tour around the island and made a quick stop to see Fort Fincastle. It was cool to see it still standing after a few centuries and the view from the top was of course great.
I don't want to bore you with too many pics but here's a few I snapped on the tour:
A sleeping dog and a man selling his freshly made paintings on the street.

All the buildings on the island are fun, bright colors, I love it!
Some pretty awesome graffiti!
After the tour was over we headed for the beach to enjoy the sand and water one last time. This little guy was so dang cute! I just wanted to take him home. He was full of energy and kept running down the dock and jumping into the shallow water.
When we got back onto the ship that night we decided this was our only chance to go in an ice bar on a cruise ship so we took the opportunity! My sister had been wanting to see it the whole time so she was pretty excited :) It ended up being pretty small but really cool none the less!
Well, that's the last of my cruise posts! I had a ton more photos than I posted but you're probably sick of them by now anyway, haha. Hope you enjoyed a peak into the best vacation of my life. I'd go back in a heartbeat! When it was time to go home I wanted to stay on that ship another month! For now I'll just have to dream..

Cat Eyed

Happy halfway-through-the-week Day! If you follow our collective swap-blog Flock Together, you may have already seen me sporting this number for our Mad Men challenge. But I thought it was only right to give this one the spotlight it deserves and share all the photos!
I love 60's era style so I just had to try Jen's cute fit-and-flare dress complete with pleats and gold buttons to match my vintage heels. (She's actually wearing it today! Check out her post here). I added the beautiful cat eyed sunnies I got in my granite flats package and then made it a little more modern and fun with a blouse underneath. I'm not sure if you can see in the photos but it has little old-school cartoon cars printed on it, so cute! I can't wait to wear it to a car show with Ethan (he's a muscle-car enthusiast and I'm a lover of all things vintage so we frequent them every Summer).
Well, have  lovely Wednesday. I'm keeping it pretty low-key, just working and then attending a financial class tonight with the Hubby. It's free for bank employees and they provide dinner, so why not?! I could stand to be a little better with my finances ;)

Outfit Details:

Blouse - ModCloth
Extender Skirt - Local Boutique (DIY lace bottom)

Chambray & Stripes

So, my Internet connection has been playing games with me lately. This posting at 3 in-the-afternoon-again thing isn't entirely my fault ;) The happily sleeping through my alarm on a Friday morning thing might be. Hey, it's the weekend, and the sun is shining! I'm one carefree and happy girl.

This is the outfit I picked out to wear to the Old Navy Event last Saturday! This was my second time doing an event with them and it's always fun. I got to spend my afternoon with some of my favorite blogger girls and style a look for myself as well as a mannequin from their fun Spring/Summer line. Afterwards we all went out to lunch where I made a fool of myself by forgetting my wallet in my other purse at home. A new blogger friend I met at the event was kind enough to split her salad with me! What a sweetheart, I felt so bad.

{The photos of the mannequins and treat table are c/o Gentri}
{I almost got this colorful top for myself so I decided style it up for my mannequin}
{I couldn't help but notice how CUTE all of our shoes were}
Outfit Details:
Dress, Blouse, Necklace and Ring - c/o Old Navy
Belt - Target
Shoes - Lotta from Stockholm (won in a giveaway)

Well, I hope you all have some fun weekend plans! I'm hoping the sun sticks around so I can soak it all up. Sunday is Mother's Day and I'll be spending it with my Aunt, Grandma, and my beautiful Mommy. I haven't decided on a gift for Ethan's mom or mine yet so it looks like I'll be doing a little shopping too!

Emerald & Amber

Today is flying by! I'm kind of getting whiplash from the sudden change in speed. The first two days of the week dragged by unbearably and today my work day is half over and I'm just typing up this post! Can't complain about a seemingly faster-coming weekend though :)
This outfit was full of new things that I love! Color by Amber was so sweet and sent me another set of their awesome jewelry (you can see my first post here). I have to say this bracelet is my favorite piece so far! I've been wearing it a ton since I received it. Those are REAL flowers pressed in the necklace and bracelet! So neat.
Also, how cute is this hat? After my post on the Vintage White's Market a while back Breck's Vintage offered to send me a couple pieces from the shop. I got this hat and a pretty dress I've been waiting to wear, both of course vintage. You might have seen this hat in my cruise posts, I wore it almost every day on the cruise, I can't get enough!
Last but not least, I won these gorgeous clogs in a giveaway from Lotta from Stockholm. I'm obsessed. I've always wanted some so I pretty much screamed when they arrived!! Oh, and these printed pants are pretty sweet too if you ask me... :) Hope your Wednesday is breezing happily by like mine!

P.S. You've probably noticed my lovely new blog design by now! That's all thanks to the beautiful and talented Joyce of Joyful Outfits!! She's amazing :) THANK YOU JOYCE!
