Inspiration: LBD

Happy Monday dears! I just want to say a big THANK YOU to all the kind words you left on my last post. It's seriously amazing to know I have so much support and positive thoughts coming my way from all you wonderful people :) It's always a hard thing losing a loved one but I'm just thankful to have had her in my life and for all the beautiful memories she left behind!
Ok, so on to Inspiration Monday! It's been a while since I've joined in, it feels good! Today's inspiration comes from the always stylish Alexa Chung (and look at those teeny tiny legs!) It's basically a casual take on the classic LBD.
I chose a more boxy dress than Alexa was wearing just because I love this dress but rarely wear it. The vintage-looking bib is my favorite part! I of course had to add tights since it's SO cold. You can tell it's snowing in these photos. I was still freezing despite the tights.
^I seriously don't know where I was going with this pose...
Well, have a wonderful start to your week! I'm feeling the need to start off with a little caffeine. I can't seem to catch a long enough break these days... what about you?

Outfit Details:
Dress - Thrifted
Tights -  Local Boutique
Socks - Borrowed from my Mom
Shoes - Target
Necklace - Paparazzi
Ring - Forever 21

Haha, too often I get bored with the same poses and try experimenting...trust me, yours turned out way better than the way most of mine do.
Love your take on the inspiration from Alexa Chung! Once again you nailed the look :)

Such a cute dress - the bib is a great little detail. I also like how you added a bold lip. :)

jessi, oh the bib is awesome! i like your outfit better than alexa's. at first i thought you went bare legged, before i read you were wearing tights. it does look freezing cold in utah. brrrr!

Jessi, your dress is divine, I love the bib! The whole outfit is adorable (and yes look at those teeny tiny legs, how does she stand up?!) It's certainly too cold for bare legs here too, we've had a few inches if snow tonight and its freezing!
Thanks for visiting my blog and taking the time to comment

This dress is adorable, the bib is such a lovely detail! I'm loving that ring as well. I am so sorry to hear about your grandma, I hope you're holding up okay!

I love this dress on you! Though I have no idea how you aren't dying with cold. I think one of the most fun parts of fashion blogging is the accidental terrible/awkward posing. It happens to me all the time. Also your sock/bootie combo is adorable.

Oh Alexa! How can we not just love her?! This dress is so lovely on you Jessi! I can hardly believe it's a thrift find! I'm with you on the caffeine thing...I've gone for months without it and had to give in today after all the busyness lately!

An LBD is always classic and chic! I love how you recreated the look, down to her pose :) I would've been freezing too in that little dress!

I love how you recreated the look! I had those shoes and I gave them to Goodwill after I could not make them work. I wish I had saved them now that I've seen this outfit post!

OMG, You look so so amazing in this outfit! I'm obsessed with your hair, bangs, and red lipstick. I wish I was bold enough to try bangs like yours. Also, I really like the shape of your LBD!

Hi, Just found your blog from Flock Together and really loving this outfit. The shoes are exactly my style, and the dress looks so soft and warm with the snow.

P.S. Am following now.

First, I'm super sorry for your loss. She sounded like a wonderful woman (I just read the post when I saw your comments in the text of this one). It's great to see you (and some other bloggers) respecting their family and really cherishing their memory in posts like that. I'm sure she would have appreciated it. Anyhow - this is a really great look on you- she is great fashion inspiration.
