Casual Romance

Alright, before you go thinking I've been packing on the pounds, lemme just tell you that I'm wearing three tops. Yes, three. I know, not the most flattering idea (although that didn't come to mind when I thought this up) but I really love all the layers and patterns together!
This is number 2 in my mini-series of Valentine's inspired outfits. For this one I wanted to put together something a little more casual (you know, in case you for some reason don't like dressing up all fancy-like for Valentines like I do) It's also a little more subtle. Instead of wearing a red and pink combo that screams of the holiday I layered pink with a little mint, gray and pops of gold.
Drumroll please.........
(cuz this is a pretty big deal)
My FIRST successful jump shot!! That's right! I'm pretty proud...
This ^^ is my "It's so cold out here and I don't know how I feel about that" pose.
Well, Happy Monday! Did you all watch the Grammy's last night? I could go off on a tangent about how weird it was to see FUN. performing and winning awards and how it made me remorseful for the end of The Format and Nate Ruess' incredible potential, but alas, I won't bore you with that.

Jessi this is adorable! I really like all the layering too-all the layers are so thin it doesn't look bulky in the slightest but rather full of dimension! Plus, you know I'm in love with those mint pants. The most perfect color ever! Love the jumpshot too-those are always so tricky but congrats haha :)

I really need mint jeans in my life... So gorgeous!

And I don't see any "extra" pounds here! In fact, you look slimmer!!!!!!

I LOVE the three tops. They work out perfectly!
Everything in this post works together and creates such a fun, vintage look!!!!!

hahaha packing on the pounds, whatever, girl! ;) though I know how layers can be, making you look a little bulkier than normal. It's actually one of the reasons I shy away from too many layers! But you totally look like a skinny-mini here. No worries. ;D

Those loafers are so cute! And I adore the color of those pants. Minty wonderland. :D

I don't blame you fr wearing three shirts, it looks freezing! Bahaha congrats on the jumping shot! I love the whole color combination here, it's so cheerful for winter.

1) "Packing on the pounds" pah! That's ridiculous Jessi, you are looking slim as ever, even with 3 layers :)
2) OMGEEEE, SO PROUD OF YOUR FIRST JUMPING SHOT!! Lol, I love it, love it, love it.
3) You so stole my idea. Haha, I had the idea of wearing mint colored skinnies for a casual Valentines look and was considering those same glitter loafers to wear with it! Ah well, fashionable minds think alike ;)

Lol, packing on the pounds. You are a svelte thing no matter what you wear. And three shirts is worth it for this adorable combo!

Rachel said...

My ankles are freezing just to look at you, but I bet your torso much have been fairly warm with the three shirts! It really doesn't look bulky at all! But I know what you mean about feeling like you look a little chunky when you start adding a lot of layers.

I didn't watch the Grammy's but I do commiserate with you! I was a big Format fan, and while I totally think he deserves all his popularity, it is a little weird!

Okay, first off, you do not look like you packed on an ounce, even with three shirts on! Second, I love how you've been wearing lots of pastels lately. I think it looks wonderful with your hair and skin. And last, when I saw FUN. on the Grammys last night all I could think about is what you told me a few weeks ago. It must have been so weird but I totally understand!

I love the pastels! SO pretty, especially with the snow. And yay target gold shoes again! I didn't watch the Grammys myself, no cable! And you actually pull off 3 shirts really well, but was it uncomfortable? Too many layers make me feel super stiff sometimes.
